1. Overview
BookBloom collects only the data we need to operate the service for your business. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have. Counsel will review and finalize this policy before production launch.
2. What we collect
- Account data: name, email, phone, password hash, login activity.
- Business data: business name, industry, website, service area, timezone, Google review URL.
- Customer data your business uploads: names, phone numbers, emails, message history, job records, photos, reviews.
- Usage data: pages viewed, actions taken, errors encountered (used to operate and improve the service).
- Cookies / sessions: we use first-party session cookies for login. We do not currently set third-party advertising cookies.
3. How we use it
- To provide the BookBloom service to your business.
- To send transactional messages about your account (login, billing, security).
- To send SMS or email on your behalf to your customers, only when your business has obtained valid consent.
- To monitor service health, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
4. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with:
- Sub-processors we rely on to run the service (hosting, transactional email, SMS gateway). A current list will be made available to customers on request.
- Law enforcement when required by valid legal process.
- You and your authorized teammates within your business tenant.
5. Data retention
We retain account and business data for the life of the account, plus a reasonable period after cancellation to allow recovery. Customer data your business uploaded is deleted on request, subject to legal hold obligations.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards (TLS in transit, hashed passwords, scoped database access, multi-tenant isolation, audit logging). No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact support@bookbloomhq.com.
8. International transfers
Data may be processed in the United States or other countries where our sub-processors operate. By using the service you consent to such transfers, subject to safeguards required by applicable law.
9. Children
The service is intended for businesses; it is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent local age). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice.
